Keira Knightley was reunited with two Hollywood stars more than a decade after they starred in a hit drama together.
The Black Doves actor, 39, was spotted among the crowd at Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium on Sunday attending the match between Como 1907 and Roma.
But she wasn’t the only celebrity in attendance cheering along as the Pirates Of The Caribbean star was joined by her musician husband James Righton and A Dangerous Method co-star Michael Fassbender.
All wrapped up in their winter gear, the trio were spotted smiling and shouting along to the match in which Como 1907 bagged a 2 – 0 win.
The Killer star Fassbender, 47, starred alongside Knightley in David Cronenberg’s historical drama A Dangerous Method, released in 2013.
Set between 1902 and the eve of World War I, A Dangerous Method tells the story of Carl Jung (Fassbender), Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen), and Sabina Spielrein (Knightley), looking into their turbulent relationships as psychologist Jung treats Spielrein using one of his mentor Freud’s methods.
A rivalry forms between the pair as Jung embarks on an affair with Spielrein and Jung and Freud disagree increasingly over psychoanalysis.
It is based on Christopher Hampton’s 2002 stage play The Talking Cure and John Kerr’s 1993 book A Most Dangerous Method: The Story of Jung, Freud, and Sabina Spielrein.
Following its premiere at the 68th Venice Film Festival, A Dangerous Method received widely positive reviews and at the 70th Golden Globe Awards, Mortensen was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture.
It currently sits on a 79% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with the critics’ consensus reading: ‘A provocative historical fiction about the early days of psychoanalysis, A Dangerous Method is buoyed by terrific performances by Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley, and Viggo Mortensen.’
This outing comes as Love Actually star Knightley made a shocking confession about the beloved Christmas classic.
Despite many watching the 2003 rom-com annually, Juliet actor Knightley hasn’t seen the film since she appeared in it – instead opting for Die Hard when the festive season roles around.
‘No,’ Knightley admitted when asked by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show whether she ever watches Love Actually during the holiday season. ‘I saw it on the premiere when I was 18, and I’ve never seen it since.’
‘This is nothing about Love Actually,’ she added. ‘I don’t really watch anything I do. But I know that Love Actually obviously has become this massive thing. And for lots of people, it’s part of their Christmas. But no, I’ve not seen it since then.’
Knightley most recently starred in Netflix thriller hit Black Doves, in which she plays spy called Helen Webb who seeks to avenge her murdered lover.
